Snare looks like MIJ from here, but I can't be 100% cuz the pic is a little grainy, and the bass has a Pearl type tom mount looks like, so The "peddle" might be a SK...but I would look at them in person, and grab that snare for 25-30 for me! If they are MIJ, they are worth about 100-150, just because they are playyable, but that is it. If they turn out to be Luds, which I don't think they are, snag 'em up!

On second look, I see no Ludwig looking lugs at all, those concert toms, the bass hoops are 70s chrome, they look like MIJ lugs...I cannot say 100%, but even my dumb-a......I don't see Luds. Unless that is a Jazz fest snare...I see it has 8 lugs.

Where is the Craigslist ad so we can possibly expand the picture-you can't see ANY details.I will say no American Ludwig set has 7/8 tom arms.Or chrome bass drum hoops. And I can't recall any round muffler knobs either.Maybe vintage Ludwig refers to the pedal, making the whole set vintage Ludwig-right?Like an Evans drum set,or a Remo Ambasador drum set-tell me you've never seen that on Craigslist.I can make an educated guess-80's MIT w/an earlier MIJ snare painted suede black.Any takers?

Ask him for pix to your mailbox then post them, that way we can tell you what theyare....We are all pretty sure what they are not....

I would like to see all of it, and if it is close enough to to make him think he has Luds...That snare is puzzling me.
