Just watched/listened to both vids. Sweet sound and nice touch!
Like the sound of both.
They both sound great. Nice playing too! What camera are you using here?
Mark - Man I love the idea of having sound files for different drums available here at the forum. I wonder if Tommy and Dave would consider a new "Sound File" category for our vintage drums?
Both snares sound good and I always enjoy hearing you play. Cool stuff all around.
John
we should all start showing our chops thats so cool ...man they sure sing , cool
I agree. I have been thinking it would be great to have a thread or file of some type to upload to and be able to catalog the differences in types of shells, bearing edges, brands, tuning options etc. of these vintage drums.
Have been considering buying a nice little camera to play around with sound files for my own enjoyment and for when selling drums and cymbals.
Randy - I've been coaching my buddy (and VDF member,) MickM for awhile and as a thank you he gifted me one of these:
It has crystal clear video and the way it accurately records drums is amazing. The recordings sound just like the kit you are recording. Not muffled, or different in any way. Excellent sound reproduction. I'm going to make a sound file for my George Way kit and post it up and you can check out the sound reproduction quality of these units.
Recommended for recording drums! Outstanding mic on this thing.
John
John,
That's exactly what I've been looking to buy. Thanks for the recommendation.
Mark,
Sorry to hi-jack your thread. I enjoyed your videos and would like to make some of my own. Thanks for posting these!
