Wondering if someone could shed some light on the 60's Ludwig Pioneer snares. Did Ludwig in the late 60's not coat some of the snares on the inside with the reso white coat? Left it natural with a varnish finish? Thanks!!

That's correct. I think they stopped the white paint in '68 -definitely by '69.
