I always found Staccato and North drums to be, ummmm, interesting drums. Kinda cool looking, but pretty much a one-trick-pony for sound though.....being made of fiberglass and having that funky built in projection cone, they are quite loud though....Mallet Player2

You can add Stingray to that. I lived right down the road from the "factory" (a large open bay where they built 'em) and had them build me some custom stuff. They did standard drums, but they also did some wild North looking drums. Those are the ones I had.

They are pretty far out! I recall and interview with some big name player (think it was Buddy Rich, with his usual acerbic whit) who said that the bass drum looks like a pair of women's britches!!

I did not get the set so close,yes the set's condition was very good..But when my friend was looking at them another guy did show up and made a offer of 1,700.00 for the drums my friend did not make another offer so the other guy got them..:(...After i talked to my friend i told him i would have went to 2,000.00 for the set....Maybe next time...Mikey
