I'm giving the people on this forum, who are familiar with me, first refusal on any of the drum sets I have and selling off.

I have a complete and perfect 70's B/O clear maple interiors Deluxe Classic kit -Atlas stands

I have a 67 Downbeat kit with a Downbeat snare and an optional matching Jazzette bass drum, available.

The "Gary Larson" custom-built Jazzette-like kit

Prices will be fair based on all the usual stuff.

PM if you're serious and not just kicking tires. I don't check in here as much but I will be doing more checking over the next week or so.

I may not remember you, too…so remind me!Burger Kin

:) Thanks

What finish is the Downbeat? Sorry to hear you're selling off your drums. Are you retiring or downsizing?

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Hi again and thanks for the replies.

No worries! No health issues or anything weird…just getting older and don't have as many gigs….don't need all the stuff. I have loved it all and cleaned everything -every thread of every lug screw…every washer…everything….and then they mainly just sit in my drum room.

So, it's time for the next great steward or these lovelies to take over. That's why I would LOVE it if someone on this great forum would take them.

here is what I am afraid of:

I am not going to sell them cheap (as in a "health issue emergency" etc….nothing like that). The prices will be fair…..and I kind of already know what the market is and I certainly know what I have….

So, this deal is not so much for me to sell a great kit at a bargain price as much as it is to get them to someone who is freshly-interested in having one of the sets of their dreams (hopefully). I say this up front so that no one is shocked or surprised when I tell them what I expect t get for these kits.

I am not going to sell my '69 Jazzette!

oh yeah…colors:

The Deluxe Classic is blue sparkle (and it's almost like-new condition). I've never seen a nicer one -EVER!

The'67 Downbeat kit is red sparkle….And the Downbeat snare is a '66 red sparkle -all white interiors.

I also have a '67 red sparkle bass drum that has numbers close enough to pass for matching with the Downbeat kit! So, what you're looking at, essentially, is two potential drum kits -a complete Downbeat or a Jazzette -(sans the Supra). This will be a BIG-money kit…..just so you know!

And what I call the "Gary Larson" Jazzette kit is also for sale. This is gloss black and has a DW rail mount, gull-wing spurs and DW mounting brackets. The shells are Montineiri/Keller prototype shells that are one-of-a-kind. The kit has a very Rogers-like sound -even though it was modeled to be like a Ludwig Jazzette. I'll make someone a pretty good deal on this one, too….relatively-speaking!

I will respond to PMs later today.

Thanks!

:)

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Hello again.

Umm….I'm getting a lot of PMs and a lot of requests for pictures. I know I had some pics of at least a few of these kits on the forum somewhere…..can't remember where, though!

I think what I need to do is to put a comprehensive photo package together again…so give me a little while longer to figure out how I'm going to do that. Thanks for all the interest!
