Memory lock for set o matic? Last viewed: 53 minutes ago

Hi folks,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a memory lock to fit a set-o-matic tube (d-shaped)?

I forgot to measure the diameter earlier, any help appreciated.

Mine came with the hose clamp style which I'm fairly certain was factory.

Here's the D tube measurements.

Glenn, that's great, thank you.

Am I right in reading the 1st measurement as 0.651 of an inch?

Best,

James

The original hose clamp style lock is a bit hokey. I was thinking a nice billet aluminum piece would look nice. With either a small wing nut, very short T rod type bolt or set screw. You can even place a small plastic/teflon t i t inside the threaded hole to avoid tube damage. Something a machine shop could whip up pretty easy I'd think. This if your just not into the original clamp style.

Picked up one of these last week.

It's a Pearl SX-8 lock, which is 5/8.

It's a very tight fit, and needed prising open slightly, but does the job nicely.

Thanks for posting the pic.

That looks like a good solution, Pearl also do a hinged memory lock of the same diameter..

As usual neither appear to be available in OZ though.. I'll try to tag one onto My next US purchase..

Cheers
