Muscians Drum Estate - Restoration Projects - Rogers Holiday Ludwig Slingerland Last viewed: 15 minutes ago

Hello Everyone.

A couple years ago a met the late local legend, George "Jerry" Vallee from Fall River / Westport, Massachusetts. Real cool dude, Had been playing since the 60s The Spi-Dells, The Galaxies, The Royal Coachman. Used to play the trumpet on drums in night clubs. Sadly he recently passed away.

A couple years ago Jerry called me up because he wanted to downsize a lot of his old equipment and knew I wanted a restoration project. Long story short... I left with a truck load of old shells. All Road Worn, Mounting Holes everywhere, Been painted over... and Furred... Inside and Out. A real traveling drummers gear from the 60s. A hand Shake and a promise to jam at a later date I was off with a smile!

To Date: Its just too much for me to handle. And honestly a lot of it is probably beyond restoration and may become firewood.

But in there is stuff worth restoring! Worth the time! And worth bringing back to life!

18" Rogers Holiday Floor Tom - I restored it Rat Rod style. It's original Onyx pearl was spray painted and then later furred over with a adhesive. I Stripped, Sanded and Clear Coated it.

18" Rogers Holiday Floor Tom

20" Rogers Holiday

26" Gretsch Round Badge

B/O Ludwig Stands

Slingerland Congas

B/O Era Ludwig 22" Bass Drum

And a ton of other Shells and Hardware.

I would like to do a Photo Share Folder somehow... Photo Bucket around anymore? What's the best way?

Hey. Wanted to Update Everyone.

First Round didn't result in anything being sold. And I Do really need to move this stuff.

So now I will offer this. I will Deliver these Drums to anyone within 400 Miles of Massachusetts. I don't want to part them out. Too much history.

Though you don't want to part out and everyone here admires that, there's no guarantee the person who buys the lot won't do just that. Too bad I can't use anything there. Very nice of you to be willing drive an incredible distance too. Good luck.
