Beautiful kit! Those kits look super nice with chrome hoops on the bass drum. Had a set like that and it really made it pop. Good job on the restore!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Thanks for all of the compliments guys. I couldn't believe it when I read the add. I thought it must be a typo. I called the seller right away and he said the add was correct, $25. Needless to say, I bought them over the phone. He was nice enough to take down the add and hold on to them until I could pick them up. Pretty stand up guy. Luckily, I also have all of the hercules hardware for the kit and a COB supra to go with it. I really want to find a matching snare for it. I think that would top it off. Next gig I play I'm going to bring these babies out for a test drive.

Wow... what a deal! Even at 4 times the price, it still would have been a great deal!

As to a matching snare... if you don't find one, you can always build one. I've seen RCI Vistalite shells on Ebay, drilled for all hardware, for about $159. That's still a good deal. They'll even install a B/O badge for a reasonable price, too.
