Very nice kit Optiguy... sorry about the snare drum. It is going to Sweden to finish off a matching kit there. I always say, another one will come around... they always do!

Your Rogers set is beautiful. My first professional quality drum set I that ordered from Foster's Music in Hammond, Indiana upon my high school graduation in 1961 was a Black Diamond Pearl Holiday Swingtime outfit. The drums were 8x12--16x16-14x20--matching BDP Holiday snare. I still use the A. Zildjian 20" ride and 15" hihats that came with that set. I also still use a Swivomatic bass pedal and Swan Leg hihat, although not the original ones. I was fortunate enough to acquire a Champagne Sparkle version of that set about three years ago. The only difference is that the snare is a 1962 Luxor. Call me crazy, but my all time favorite Rogers snare drum is a Luxor. The wrap and beavertail lugs date the other three drums to 1964--1967. But, Bobby Chiasson of the Drum Farm thinks that they are probably from late 1963 when the first Champagne production line drums began shipping. I had the Jim Petty custom canister throne for a few years before getting the Rogers drums.

Can I borrow your time machine!? Looks like you just bought the drums and hardware today, not 40+ years ago. I LOVE the champagne sparkle!

Great job on a lovely set. What a shame they don't make this wrap anymore. I can't understand why they won't. None of the modern efforts look like this. Clapping Happy2

Too expensive to make..

They used real copper flakes in the finish! At least Gretsch did...
