I hope this is okay to post here, but I just wanted to share the album my band released recently. If not, I will not be offended if it gets removed.
Not sure how many of you are into heavier-rock here, although the songs vary throughout the album, some songs heavier than others. We're pretty much just a bunch of kids having fun and experimenting our musical boundaries a bit (okay 22, but I'll always be a kid), we recorded it in the rehearsal space we jam at. Pretty low budget but I'm proud of it as our very first album. This was tracked about a year and a half ago, and I think we've grown as a band immensely since.
For those of you who might not click with the genre, here is the song list with a brief description of each song so you won't have to sift through it. If you get a chance to have a listen, I hope you enjoy! :)
1. Young Nihilists' Gun Club (sort of a heavy, bluesy rock feel)
2. Harlot (I would call this our Punk-rock anthem, really fun live)
3. Get On the Floor (another punk song)
4. No heroes (probably the easiest-listening song on the album after #4)
5. Letters From Japan (pretty poppy and upbeat)
6. God's on the Run (one of the heaviest on the album, but sweet lyrics)
7. Johnny Says (Another heavy one)
8. She Talks to Ghosts (our first song to make it on major Vancouver radio, It's upbeat and sort of dance-rock)
9. The City's On Fire (usually our closing song at our shows, has a fun rant in the middle of it)
