LOL - What do you mean you don't know where it comes from? Those are -your- genes in there! I'm sure the apple didn't fall far from the tree! :p

That's a kick-a$$ -first-class- Bluegrass band! You should be proud. He's a terrific musician and judging from the video antics, he looks to be a terrific young man too! Fun stuff, thanks for posting.

Thanks for the comments, Yep got to be proud of your kids achievments (and he does get his comedy antics from the old man). He is actually mainly a flatpick guitar and dobro exponent but plays just about any instrument including drums.

If you want to look,

Here's another of their zany clips, son in maroon hat, the fiddle in this clip has been in the family since around 1932 it belonged to my late uncle..

Cheers

Goddam they're good, John! Genuine 'feel-good' music!

This is probably going to sound nuts but, here goes anyway...

They need to have their agent explore the 'children's music' market in the US. They would be a HUGE hit here in that market. With the exception of a few specialty stations, you don't hear much, if any, bluegrass on the radio. But the kiddie market here is a multi-billion dollar a year business. Guys like Rafi and others -who play the exact same 'feel-good' music your son's group plays- are millionaires many times over. Not many 'have what it takes' to make it in that market, but if their agent can job around some demo's among children's music producers, something may connect.

Again, what a terrific group of musicians they are. That's a 'world-class' band your son belongs to. Bright future for them for certain.

Think about the kiddie music idea! The longer you think about it, the more you'll see the reason in it.
