This came with a MIJ drum set I bought for 50.00. Acording to ebay completed listing its worth 5.00 but wait,,,50.00 shipping so hey, someone thought it was worth 55.00, bazinga! Anyway, its my first Slingerland drum I have ever owned. It not too exciting, probably give it to a kid somwhere.

That's a pretty nice snare for $55. I think you might really like it once you tune it up and play it a bit.

Ya, I dont have any snare wires to put on it. Mabye next weekend Il get some and try it out. I just got rid of an old MIJ cos snare and it sounded really good.

For "Student Model" drums, those things are incredible. Slingy could do no wrong (until the 80's) in my opinion.

I have many snare drums. The steel shell Slingerland student models are the cheapest, and my favorite. Great sounding drums that can do no wrong in any application.

Either way, tune 'er up and slap some wires on it.

Its all steel shell, no wood. I will get some wires for it this weekend and and try it out. Its the only Slingerland drum I have so Il keep it for a while, but thank you anyway.
