Hey!That drum does look good!Glad you're happy (I knew you were), just as I am. I do have the parts to fix the 10x15 back to original. For as old as that thing is, it looks really good too!I'm still looking for you a 14x14...Bill

Thanks Bill, I put a LOT of time into that drum over the last year to get it to where it is now, also a lot of playing and enjoyment.

I STRONGLY recommend you tune her up and play her, she's got on helluva voice!

Well, I've certainly got no qualms with the 402... however, pick up a 417 instead. The 6.5" Black Beauty is simply an amazing drum.

I have a couple of 400's, and a 70's 402. I'll never get rid of them, but now all they are, are hanger queens. Since I got the BB, it's all over.

Once I found 5!!! yes 5!!! Keystone badge 402 at a flea market down in Santiago de Chile. They were used by the Marines on the "Parada Militar" which is held once a year during Independance day. The guys who sold'em to me told me that he bought !!!!!!50 of them!!!! through a contact of him. the rest were donated to the Santiago Boy Scout association...Ive been tracking them down for years to no avail...what happened to my 5 ones?...I confess my sin in front of my drum brothers here: I sold em...yes, Im guilty of sin...I was so young...

Shaun - As you can see from all the responses, supra's are like potato chips for drummers... can't have just one! lol

You scored a great drum, but it'll only be your 'first.' You'll be back for more... they all come back for more!

Enjoy your new drum, buddy. Keep your eyes open for bargains on all the others mentioned. Won't be long before (like the rest of us,) you'll have more than one kind of supra in your arsenal. They are addicting, the classic 'go-to' snare drum of many working drummers.

Oh Lord, I just realized... you haven't played a super-sensitive yet have you? Poor bastard, there goes all your expendable income for the next few years.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Nice Supra. Got the first of my 3 in 1971. Still have and play it out on a gig now and again. In fact I think I will use it this week. Luv em.

John you're killin me here Laughing H

Sadly I have not played a Super Sensitive yet, someday.

While all the mentioned snares are great models, I think the next one I want is an old steam bent single ply....or nicely aged silver sparkle Jazz Fest/Club Date snare.
