My Ludwig Black Cortex kit *UPDATED* Last viewed: 1 hour ago

I had posted pics of this kit before in the image gallery before.

I have added a 10 x 14 ride tom and a 16 x 16 floor tom.

So I can use it as a Bonham set up - 14, 16, 18, 26

or 14, 16, 18, 20, 26 (triple floor toms)

Congrats, I though I was the only one that had 18" & 20" floor toms D' Drummer

Purchased new in 1978 > and still in 'new' condition.

Our Ludwig kit in high school has a 20" floor tom... We rarely used it, but I think it was a 'standard' configuration when the kit was purchased. It was the darker gray Pearl finish (don't know the color names), maybe a blue pearl? Not Black diamond Pearl, as I am familiar with that color...

Anyway, that 20" floor tom was pure "hammer of Thor" and had to be used with care and respect.

My 18" Recording Custom floor tom is similar... Use in small doses!
