My new Slingy kit! Last viewed: 54 minutes ago

Very excited to post some shots of my new Slingerland kit. I traded my Yamaha Oak Custom for this which was hard for me but after playing these for a while I'm really glad I did. It's a 12,14,16,20 set with the 14 added at a later time. Snare is a 14x5.5 6 lug student model. All the shells but the 14 are 190,xxx while the 14 is 220,xxx so I believe these are something like 1968?? The original blue diamond pearl wrap is almost perfect on every drum and the hardware is equally nice. The 14 has a little less color fading than the rest and was missing the muffler which I've since purchased. Still close enough match for me. Digging the snare. I haven't had a wood snare in a while. Very round tone. I could see it being perfect for blues, roots, etc.. Still need to find a bass drum mounted cymbal arm that won't cost a kidney. Anyway, very happy to share my new baby. The big dog is on guard duty.

Steve
