Anybody have any idea what drums these are in this circa-1975 Al Green appearance on Soul Train? They remind me of Molecules, but clearly aren't those.

Never seen anything like this before,interesting design but not very projective,mikes on top for sure.Loved the Al Green track and what a drummer!Hope you get a definitive answer.

The drummer was "Aaron Purdie", he also played with James Brown... can't find more pics of him on that kit though..

Great info longjohn as i wondered who he was too?Really loved James Brown`s drummers(all of them) and he had a few.James was a real stickler for perfection.
