Without knowing the dimensions of this, I'd say this is either an early

cymbal stand base, or a snare stand base. That's my take.

Very small foot print, maybe 6" so it looks like it's too small for a snare or cymbal stand...

Maybe the base for a little trap-table (basically a thin board on a stand,) that other doo-dads were clipped to. Way back in the Stoned Age (68') a buddy of mine got hold of a set of coconuts from the 20's, the base was similar to yours. BTW, I got hooked on playing those stupid coconuts! Big fun to play.

That is amazing both you guys have that strange part.

Purdie, I bought cocanuts recently at thrift store just to have the clip clop sound available. Had 4 but the dogs ate 2.

That part looks like a very, very small drum throne stand. kidding.

Looks like a pipe/pole with pins spun in and engaged.

Interesting Part.
