need a lug for a 1950's Radio King Snare. Last viewed: 1 minute ago

I 've broken a lug on my Radio King Snare. I must of over tightened the tension rod trying to get that perfect snare sound.

Is there anybody out there in drum land that has a spare lug,I don't need the insert or tension rod just the lug. mine has broken in half. I will try to send a picture of the lug. I'm hoping that I won't have to buy a set of eight lugs inless they are in better shape than mine.

I know some drum shops have replacement lugs of that style. I don't know the holes spacing though.

Members here will help you. Good luck:)

Just put some Duct Tape on it...... JK. This kind of thing happens with drums made durring the Calf head ERA... that have been fitted with Mylar heads. Calf heads never caused that much pressure.

My advice to keep it from happening in the future, other than being careful.. is stick to thinner heads... or get Calf heads from Earthtone.....

I'm using Remo Vintage Emperior top and bottom. I have to quit trying to make it sound like a steel shell snare. it's hot now but the lug is broken. So I'm looking for a set of lugs or a single lug perferably a single lug but if the set is near perfect by al means I'll take them but where can I find one or a set????

Way bad heads for destroying lugs... Me thinks you needs diplomat or something thin like that. Snare side head can be "Medium"...
