Details please... Do you live in an apt. house situation? If you own your own home, is the P.O., UPS, Fed-Ex, in the habit of leaving packages on your doorstep?
Depending on the situation, it could be a case of; mis-delivery (ask your neighbors if they received a package they were not expecting,) or someone took advantage of an opportunity, and simply picked it up and walked away with it. Too many variables without details.
Sorry to hear, what happened to you could happen to any of us.

I was thinking same thing, along the lines of some dirt bag stealing if off the front porch. Those tracking numbers are pretty much money, and they don't say delivered unless it got dropped off somewhere.........
Yep pretty much as the guys said. Was either delivered to a neighbor or taken by someone possibly. Hope it turns up. We have had packages delivered across the street. The house numbers here are not in sequence. As new houses were built on our street they just picked a available house number that wasn't taken already. Normally all the carriers are very good here but sometimes during the Holiday rush some slip ups are made. I have also had tracking numbers show as delivered earlier in the day here. But not arrive till later that day or the next day sometimes. Both UPS and FED-EX did this. The tags were scanned WAAAY before they were dropped off.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
You might beat on the Post Office a little more... ask the manager to contact the carrier or speak directly to the carrier yourself. Try to get some delivery details from the carrier... at least try to verify with the carrier that a package did in fact make it to your door.
If you know the carrier... let carrier know it happened so that he or she can be aware that somebody might have been watching the route that day and taking packages. Try to find out if anybody else lost packages on the same day. Maybe you end up with the police involved on multiple thefts on the route.
This is time of year that people follow carriers and watch for packages that are an easy target.
$ucks... Christmas can bring out the very best and the very worst in people.

Fed Ex years ago dropped off $1,500 worth of Turk K's to a house on ANN St NW,while I lived on KNAPP ST NE!Mister T
They left them in a guys garage, and about 2 weeks later,he knocked on my door, and asked if the box was mine!flowers2
He was moving, and went out there for something, and spotted it...
Luckily,he was honest!
I had another similar prob with Fed Ex too at 1 time..same thing..they left around $1,500 worth of drum gear at a wrong address again!
I lived at 20 NE..they left at 20 NW!
That guy bought the stuff down to me.....CRAZY,MON!
The story has a happy ending, however it was the perfect storm for this to happen. first I'll say I live in a house and it was usps. here is what happened.
My regular post man was on vacation this week, so we had a sub, the guy did not know the area, it was foggy when he delivered, and dropped it off at
at a "355" address, I live at "255" , I know all my neighbors, at this house the couple was out of town and their teen age son picked up the box from the door step put it in the house and did not look at the label. when the couple got home late last night, he came over and rang my door bell and said I think this is yours. SO I GOT MY SNARE AND ITS BEAUTIFUL!!!! HAPPY!
while on this subject, lets say it was stolen. the buyer is protected through ebay and pay pal because he has proof it was delivered. as a buyer, what rights do you have? I think you are screwed, I may be wrong, but none the less it would be a long drawn out process to try to appeal it. heck yesterday when I was in panic mode still. I tried called pay pal annd was on hold for 35 minutes before I got tired and hung up. Gary

Glad you got your drum. Merry Christmas.
Me too, glad to hear you got the drum. As far as those ebay/paypal policies, I have no idea but you just take a risk every time you (us) buy things from ebay. Most of the time it comes out just fine but there is a risk factor.
Merry Christmas !!!
