Hello iv tried this once before on here but I'm hoping someone can help me with finding out how much my vintage Ludwig kit is worth. I bought it from a woman whos husband used to play it before he had one of his legs amputated and then passed away. All she could tell me was that it was from around 1964. Too my knowledge the stands, cymbals and speed king pedals are all from when her husband originally bought it. There are two reasons why I want to find out te price. I'm curious and iv also had an emergency happen with my father in law and may need some money. If you need more pics of the kit to tell me an accurate price all you have to do is say so. I would appreciate any help I can get.

Another one
And the last drum
Get a photo of the kit outside during daylight. I'm thinking you might get some good offers.
Does it have to be outside?
Not necessarily outside. I'm forgetting the weather is not too friendly in other places right now.
Try to get good light on the subject (w/o flash, if possible) and close-ups of any problem areas.
Good luck!
Could you help me at least identify the year and all the other things of it with the pics iv already posted?
The kit is more than likely from the mid-60's. It is a Hollywood model with twin 8x12 toms on the bass. It is shown in the 1964 catalog. By 1967, the twin toms were 8x12 and 9x13. Without serial numbers, my best guess is that it is a 1964-66 kit. The other guys probably have more expertise in Ludwig than I do. Value for an entire kit of that sort in excellent conditon with hardware and cymbals would be somewhere around $1500, and down from there as the details of its condition reduce the price. The pictures indicate it is reasonably clean but definitely used. I guess $1000 to $1200 soup to nuts. They are relatively common drum sets, though the gold sparkle color and configuration make it a catalog set and therefore often worth a bit more. See the Vintage Drum Guide for catalogs in the upper right-hand corner of the site. See the catalog cuts of that set for 1964 and 1967, attached, and take note of the change of tom sizes.
