It's a 3-ply, 8-lug, painted finish, round-badge Gretsch snare. The hoops are rather thin and attatch with lug clips. I suspect it's pre-1960s but other than that have no idea. It came with an awesome lined case as well. Any additional info would be helpful.

Looks like a 50`s Renown to me. There are plenty of Gretsch guys here so you wont be waiting long.
