I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHEN THESE WERE MADE AND IF IT WAS A SPECIAL ORDER KIT. I HAVE 1 MOUNTED TOM AND 2 FLOOR TOMS. THE BLUE SPARKLE NOW LOOKS MORE GREEN. IF YOU TAKE THE HEAD OFF YOU CAN SEE WHAT IT USED TO LOOK LIKE(BLUE). IT IS NOT A REWRAP. BADGES ARE TIGHT. MISSING THE BASS DRUM. DO YOU THINK I WOULD EVER FIND ONE TO MATCH? IF NOT, I MAY SELL WHAT I GOT. THANKS FOR ANY HELP...

Or, just use any bass drum shell that you like. Precision will sell you pre cut Red, Sparkle, Silver Sparkle, and Blue Sparkle strips of wrap for the bass drum and the hoop inlays. Before you ask, I'll tell you that Ludwig NEVER wrapped drumswith glass glitter wraps. The new wrap will be plenty close enough for the red and the blue. The silve is likely to be difficult to match due to the nature of silver wrap to discolor over time. So, you could order silver wrap strips for your toms, too. I replaced ruined White Sparkle wrap on my Slingerland Red Glass Glitter/Blue Glass Glitter /Whie Sparkle drums with White Marine Pearl. The WMP looks much classier than what was originally on there. I think it would look better then silver on your Ludwigs, too.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

The keystone badge was used from 1961 to 1969. They will be in that era. I have a Red Silver Blue set that are date stamped 1971 and they have the blue olive badges.

Although these Keystones are Monroe....and I think they are rewrapped too.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Yep BBK, those are the later Monroe Keystones, not the 60's ones. Those may be rewrapped... hard to tell. I have seen factory wraps such as those. It all depends on how much work and time (and money) you want to put into those. But, best of luck whatever you decide.

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum!

I was think Buck Owens and The Buckaroos, but all the research looks I did on YouTube proved no such kit used.

1965 Ludwig Super Classic WMP (22-13-16)
1965 Club Date/Downbeat Combo Blue Sparkle
Cleveland Rogers COB Powertone snare
1965 Ludwig Supra Snare

Well it's a red, white, and green kit now-- so more like an Italian kit? Than a USA buckeroo. Either way, why do two of the drums have red on top and one drum is the exact opposite pattern with red on the bottom?:confused:
