I have an old Ludwig NOB snare with tube lugs. These have the clips on the lugs which hold the hoops down. One of the clips was cracked and finally broke. Anyone have a spare part like this?
Need part for 20s Ludwig NOB snare...clip that goes on lug Last viewed: 1 hour ago
when i had read that you bought this drum, i was gonna give you a heads up. if you plan on playing this tuned like most drums are today, i would recommend putting your originals up and getting some replacements. they even make the replacements in brass but much stronger. the originals will continue to break on you.
i'd still try to find an original to replace the broken one to have.
or you can just use modern hoops and put your originals hoops and clips away. ive done it both ways on mine. but i like the replacement clips with original hoops combination the best.

ADG, try here $1.99 to $2.29 each. I'm buying all new hoop clips in nickle finish but they have brass and chrome finish too. I need 28 clips in nickle finish. Rather than search the globe for used ones I'm spending the $64 and change and getting these.

Ditto to that......
And, on My 40s RK Swing Model Hollywood Ace I have replaced the lugs....prone to exploding, with repros since I play it often and tensioned up.
The originals are tucked away for safekeeping.
