WOW, that may have just won the award!! how is it on the bearing edges as pitted as the rest of the shell if so yes it would affect how the heads seat on the shell.! here's a thought Ben Mountianhick stripped the remaing chrome off a supra he had and it turned out awesome looking, the thread is here somewhere or you can pm him and ask?

i'm a little daft at polishing and have only used 0000 steel wool which didn't work with all the pitting on mine.

do you guys recommend me taking it to someone who can sand blast or use a sander on it. i could figure it out but don't have the tools.

I love the way Mountain hick's came out.

If your not comfortable doing it get it sand blasted,the badge will have to be removed, I'm going to do it to my supersensitive also, but I have all the equipment to do so! sand blasting will run you in the $50.00 and up range look around in your area, a body shop etc should be able to do it, you'll need to get another badge groument, and then reinstall it. If you want you can send it to me I'll charge you materials and a little labor charge? here are some pics of my keystone S/S does yours have steel or brass rims, test with a magnet if there steel the magnet will stick to them?

I like Ludwig coated heads, too, but prefer the medium batter. (They're both great, just a matter of preference.)

I really like the Ludwig clear x-tra thin snare side.
