it was a 3pc. kit. tags were St. George. As a young boy, wanting that new set of Ludwig,I traded them in. Thinking back, it was a good solid kit. I've never seen any before or after I traded. Kind of wish that I kept them. Does any one know any history or info. about St. George drums?

Chances are real good they were a Japanese stencil "brand". Many, many names used by the distributors to sell to independent stores and small chains back in the 60s and 70s. What part oif the country did you live in at the time? Not that it would have any bearing on it's name, but it could shed a little light on it. Were the badges oval?

Thanx for the response. It was St. Louis Mo. where they were purchased used. Yes, the badges were oval.
The St. Louis distributor had many name badges. I think that was the most successful of all the distributors, it seems most names are available in the midwest, and further east, the more of the funkier names, like "Kevin" and "Adam" etc. were to be found. They seem to be all over but the more widely known seem to come from the St. Louis area.
