New Camco snare Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Well guys I hated to let go of my Rogers kit but I made a great deal with a forum member and he traded me one amazing snare. It's the black Camco Aristocrat snare:

It looks awesome and sounds just as nice. I really meant to practice tonight but I ended up cleaning up these snares. Hope to have my Camco kit up by this weekend and ready to play. Mainly just cleaning and polishing. I don't see a need to do a full tear down on the kit. Hardware is already about a 9 out of 10.

The blue kit is an absolute must on the beach gig. Take photos and post 'em. To think that kit was 2 miles from my house for sale and I let her go .. :(

Along with the Rogers Powertone, the Camco Aristocrat is my favorite wood 5/5.5" snare. Clapping Happy2

Never play it the same way once.

Really nice snare Manny. Now you'll need to find a black Camco kit for the new snare. Funny how that all works ya know!! :) The blue swirl kit is stunning too. Lucky guy for sure!

I had that same snare 15-20 years ago. Absolutely one of the best I've ever owned. Probably shouldn't have let it go. You will love how smooth the strainer. Mechanically genious.

Could be a long hunt for the correct hoops, but you do have them on the blue snare, which is a real plus. They are a bugger to locate, but have really great sound qualities in general and amazing rim shot advantages due to the height and tight backward roll they put into them. You will notice when you do the beach gig.
