Hi guys . I am new here and wanted to introduce myself . My name is Donnie and I am just getting back into drumming after many years away . I found this forum while searching for a set of mid 60s Kent drums like i had when i was 8 . It looks like lots of good info on here and I look forward to checking it all out . Cant wait to locate a set just like i had back in the day and get back to playing .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

Thanks . I played from about age 7 till I was about 30 . Now at 47 I am itching to get back at it . Just for myself this now . Not playing gigs nor trying to make a living at it this time . I am hoping it won't be impossible to find the Kent drums I want .

Good luck on your hunt they do up for sale for time to time. I know how it is looking for a particular drum or kit.

Donnie, welcome, there's a lot of great guys on here and a wealth of knowledge. i too recently got back into drumming after a number of years and also started with a Kent set (orange sparkle) I am in the process of restoring a set of rare Kent "coffin lug" WMP drums. What color and configuration was your first set?

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
