Someone was telling me Zildjian has produced a new line of A's, now i'm not sure if that is the last year? 2 years or? I went to the web site, and only see the traditional series nothing new or different, I wondered what anyone can tell me about it, and how you would identify these. sorry If I'm living in a bubble

thanks.

I heard that they are releasing a new line called the Kerope series. Supposedly like the old K line. I shall look for them at NAMM

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

zildjian stopped selling the Z series and moved some of those into the A line of products. Those might be the new line of A's.

I am not sure the drumming world needs another line of cymbals.

The traditional A line was re designed for 2013. I'm not sure of the exact specs but much like the old A's from the 70's I thnik it was. The few I've heard sound really nice. Plus the new 23" Sweet Ride. If it's a line other than these I'm not sure what they are. I'm pretty sheltered when it comes to new cymbal news.

Glen, I think you hit it spot on, I guess I only wonder how one would know if he is getting a 2013 (new) or say a few years prior to that, I assume the stamp and ink are all the same

I believe they all have serial numbers now so you should be able to tell the mfg date.

Yes looks the A ink stamp is larger now. Compared to the smaller A stamp before that. It's sort of like the A custom size ink now. Thomas yes I'm sure the serial #'s would tell you also. I was looking inot a few sets. Think it was the drum shop in Portsmouth who had a nice new A limited run box set. 23" sweet ride, 20" and 18" med thin crashes and 15" new beats. Very nice~! Like $850 or so for all. The A390 box set is like $650-680 with the 20"-18"-16" and 14" hats. I just haven't had that much cash to blow on cymbals all at once lately!! If I did my wife would be very unhappy with me now. :D I'd be fine though. D' Drummer
