Can I make a comment on your new gretsch kit, why do you have it eleveted so high in the front? you only need it be 2" to 2 1/2" off the ground with the bass drum pedal mounted to the drum,!

Yup it is the 18" kick

From La Vita e Misterioso

Nice Ludwigs - couldn't see on the first one, is that Chicago as well? Also, what camera & lens are you using?

Can't see it in the pic but it does say chicago usa on the badge. I used a canon 5D and 50mm 1.4 lens for most of the pics. I have an assortment of glass.

LOL, yes sleeping on that sofa would be a real pain. You could just send a few of them to me to make some room........;-)

haha, I have quite a few more too. I would never think of selling any of them. They came from my grandfather who taught me to play drums. The cymbals and blue duco snare are never going to leave my side, even if I become homeless. He had a 70's pink sparkle rogers kit too that my uncle has, along with another pack of cymbals.

Thanks for all the comments, heres some more pics.

Anyone have a clue to what my slingerland set is? From what I can find it's an early 60's with mahogany finish. I just can't find any pictures of a similar set. I would really like to restore this one but I doubt I will do it if it's going to hurt the value of it much.

I'm not sure on the size of the k or the toms. I think the cymbal is like a 15-16 inch, and it is heavy. Heavier than all my larger rides even. I'll get a measurement on the kit tonight.

thanks! I guess I can't exactly call the snare "mine" But it is my family's. The slingerland is:

22x14

16x16

12x8

13x9

I did some digging. With those sizes I think it's a 1976 new rock outfit or modern solo outfit. I can't decide what to do :S... what's it worth roughly?

eesh! I realize you probly changed my pics because of the size sorry if there was a rule about that that I had missed. But dang that make that wood look bad! Look at the difference in color haha! I guess I should have read the rules better.
