once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I ship internationally all the time and have had no problems until recently with some calfskin heads that got lost in transit but finally showed up after almost two months in transit. I have a business shipping account with USPS, UPS and FeDex which saves me a few dollars on shipping. I also do everything online whenever possible, which is most of the time and customs forms for USPS and FeDex online are fairly easy. I pack and ship everything myself and the only time I have had trouble in the past with shipping and packing is when I have used a third party company to do all of that for me. Bottom line, if you want it done right then do it yourself.

On a side note, for all of you that sell vintage American drums and only sell in the United States, you may want to give some serious consideration to selling worldwide. I have found that there are some hardcore players in other countries that want vintage American drums but can't find them in their own countries and in many cases are willing to pay the high shipping costs associated with shipping to them to get the drums they want. So far I have shipped drums, heads, parts and supplies to 62 countries other than the United States.
