Those are beautiful! I know she feels good that they went to someone who values and appreciates them, plus will preserve and take care of them. I hope I live to her age and have someone to pass my vintage kits on to who will appreciate and care for them.

But to say congratulations to you and bless Miss Mary, I'm speechless.

Just looked at pics again. Are the WMP drums larger sizes than the black kit?

Believe it or else!

Wow....just wow.

It makes me feel good that there are still really great condition kits still out there, knowing hell that the clubbies I have, have been through.

On the other hand....

it makes me feel bad because I'm trying to clamp, glue, strip, sand, plug, paint, wrap, polish, and clean the tubs I have to even make them look half, no one fourth as nice as yours.

At any rate congratulations!

I hope you got cases too. That's the only way they'll stay that nice.

P.s. any cool old weird stuff come with the drums? The bonus sticks, bags, funky percussion widgets from the 50's and 60's are my favorite.

I like Drums...

Congrats on the kit Mme. Not every day you see a complete set of club dates like that but factor in one of the most desirable wraps, the story behind them, and the excellent condition due to Marys love and care for the drums, then you hit it big time. Once more, congrats and enjoy.

SWEET! The whole story and the kit as well. Maybe she'll let you get firsts on the rest of the goodies....I'd start saving my crud-bay money right away and look into raiding the old 401-k.
