Boy, I'm Happy...:) :) :)~ Finally p/u my new Roger's snare..

Thxs 2 DanC & Ploughman for the extra info/advice on what details 2 look for

I'l add Complete pics tonight..

Its a 1961/62 BDP Bread n Butter lug snare (14x5) #23***

*Not a cracked lug amongst them..!

Black background Clockface strainer. 100% original (except the skins).

Wrap/grommet/wires/rods/brass washers/hoops (even the snare strings).

Used it last nite at a upscale open mic nearby in Streetville(Oakville)

Took me a minute (song) to adjust the tension knob & I was off to the races.

Also let a friend (jazz drummer) try it for his 3 song set..

He bought me a beer afterwards & had nothing but comps..!

It Set me back $300 / but it was either that or re & re one of my cob powertones, after I found and re wrapped a decent orphan shell.

The best part is that Now my BDP Dayton kit has a matching snare.

I can finally get away from Brass..lol

Congrats to ya, you couldnt have found two better guys to advise you. How but a pic of the outside of the drum. I got a Rogers snare drum today in the mail but nothing like yours.

Rogers sure did like BDP...I have seen BUNCHES of it...but great for me..as it is one of my favorite finishes....Clapping Happy2Cool1Car Driving2Kiss
