My drops are almost done but I've kinda got the bug to restore another kit.

Sumthin collectable but not common.

Kinda like the drops.

I'm thinkin 60's mahogany Premiers or maybe Rogers or Slingies.

Any thoughts on what would be a cool kit with good value and not un-findable parts? I don't mind if it takes a year to track down some stuff. This is a hobby and I'm not in a hurry.

Not much traction with this.

Maybe asked the wrong question.

Hey drum experts.

What do you think the next brand/model/era to crest in popularity will be.

I'm thinkin vintage Yammies but doubt they will ever rival the big american brands.

Thought?

For me it kind of comes down to what is available at a good price at the time. I like all vintage drums and I look at craigs list every morning. If there is a cheep kit for sale and it is a Rogers, Slingy, Ludwig or well you know, then I buy it. Any of them are worth restoring, and looking at ebay I think Ludwig and Slingy have about the most parts available.

Thank you!

I totally agree with the previous post. Whatever I see on C/L that's seriously undervalued is the next purchase. Mismatched sets with valuable component drums or stands/ hardware are included.

How about a '63, 5pc Slingerland? I know of one that sure could use some good ole TLC.
