Nice 60's Ludwigs B.D.P. set on.... Last viewed: 2 hours ago
Only if you are in Tacoma WA!!
Anybody in Washington willing to ship to me? I'll bid on it in a heartbeat.
That's a pre-serial kit and the snare is probably a Ludwig Super (COB) If I was a local, I'd be all over that kit like white on rice!

I have an Aunt that lives 30 miles from Tacoma. Im working on it. Any way to estimate the shipping on something this big?

Thank you!

Jeff - If you're going for it, just use the UPS or Fed-Ex calculators. I would estimate a total weight of at least 75 to 100 lbs. in at least three boxes. The biggest box would have to be; 24" x 24" x 24" and weigh in at 50/60 lbs. The other boxes will be smaller and you can split the estimated weight between them. Just think about what you'd have to use/do to ship them yourself. I figure it'll cost $150. more or less to ship the whole shebang. If you tell your aunt to trash the roto-toms, it'll be cheaper and easier to ship the kit.
Good luck! If I had someone nearby, I'd -seriously- be all over those tubs myself. If that snare drum was purchased with the kit... it's a COB! -No numbers on the badges!!!!!!!!!
Keep us posted if you score.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
How much you wanna bet this gets jacked WAY up & ends up being re-listed? I quit watching GW so much since so many times the bidding seems highly suspect. There appears to be zero in the way of ensuring that bidders legitimize themselves so that the ridiculous heights some items reach actually go to fund the GW mission.

Jeff, You have a Fed-ex account the shipping is cheaper than if you did not have a account..I would think it would take 3 boxes to ship it all..The bass drum/floor tom and the 12" tom and cymbals in one box..The snare and 13" tom in a box.The hardwear and roto toms in one box.I would say maybe 150.00 or less to ship..You can make half of the shipping back by selling the roto toms for 75.00 on C/L and more if the stands are not Ludwig and Slingerland ones.....Mikey
