Al came through Chicago and took in a Sox game, took the train over to my town, we had lunch, talked drums, then I brought him back to my house and he tuned all 10 of my snares for me!!! what a guy!!! LOL

Thanks to Gary for a wonderful afternoon. I got to see that big set of WMP Slingerlands up close and personal, although they weren't set up.

We did have a little drum-tuning party, but I didn't have to do all 10, most were in pretty good shape.

Gary has a superb selection of gear. It was nice to put a face with a name. I look forward to reciprocating the hospitality if he ever makes it out to Southern California.

Ya, its cool to meet forum members in person. I have had the pleasure of meeting a few of you guys in person and you were all really nice people. Eventually I will get around to meeting more of you. I still say it would be fun to have a VDF member's gathering somewhere, someday. Have a few beers, show off our drums to each other.
