I've also bought from this seller a time or two before. Nice deal on this one either way. Looks like maybe it was originally a Super Sensitive with the extra holes? Don't usually see pitting on a brass shell like a Black Beauty would have. Maybe just a pitted ludalloy that was painted. They mentioned silver color under the finish. I wouldn't expect that on a Black Beauty either.

Mike, Yes, definitely a converted SS but all the BB I've owned ( 3) from that era have similar minor wear/oxidation that almost looks like aluminum peeking through. The pitting on the shell near the lug looks like a reflection from the lug to me, but they do mention pitting on shell.... I had a converted BB too at one time. Sounded incredible.Then again the grommet " eyelet crack" on this one is suspect... , a great deal either way.
