When the bid is at $30,000.00 for a $1,500.00 buy-it-now scam, the unsuspecting will be unwilling to contact this putz, which is all he wants I guess. I fell victim to this jerk last year and even though all I got out of it was spam mail forever, surely there are others who would not fare as well.High bids on a "do not bid" auction has to hurt....the scammer.
I suspect it would also leave the innocent person who had their eBay account hijacked with a very large fee removed from their bank account if the auction completes before eBay support kills it. The poor eBay user would have to argue their way out of it, since as must of us have experienced, eBay takes the approach "charge first and hold onto the money for as long as possible".
Have you considered trying to reach the hapless seller who has had his account hijacked? I presume hapless since the first few auctions look perfectly legit (in a totally different style and for items which fit their name) followed by a rapid creations of a hundred auctions within a short time, which are the obviously bogus ones.
*** edit *** Bogus Dunnett Ludwig kit auction now taken down
However, there are still lots of bogus auctions under their name

so I doubt eBay took the time to check out the other auctions. eBay just took down a few which were reported. They didn't bother to deal with the general (obvious) problem. Sloppy customer service. I suspect their support people check their brains at the door because they aren't well paid and valued by the company.
All bogus auctions currently up now reported to eBay. Emailed the shop in Surprise Arizona...they emailed me back and said they are on to it. We'll how long eBay takes to get the rest of the bogus actions down.
Brought to you in the interests of a safer online community.
*** latest news *** all the bogus auctions are now gone from this account. So now we know it takes a couple of days for them to get to it.
