Haha...right....She likes it the way it is. I was joking with her tonight and said "I bought this drum for you." She said well wrap it nice for Christmas I like it! Ahh....kinda back fired on me there...I thought she was going to say nice try...I know it's for you.....but she didn't. Maybe she's just trying to make me suffer a little because I've bought a lot of drum stuff lately and we're (I'm) supposed to be trying to cut back with the drums.

I just received an email from the seller - he thought I might like this information from Mr. Jones - President of Noble & Cooley - nice of him and good to know this about the drum:

"It was manufactured in Granville MA around 1900 by the Noble & Cooley Co. We have inventory of the printed heads in stock and on display in our Museum.

N & C was founded in 1854 and still manufactures toy drums for gift shops and high quality musical instruments for the music industry. www.noblecooley.com

Hope this helps!

Jay Jones

President N&C

6th generation of Mr Cooley"

Longjohn,

You are buying her a self-propelled riding mower with drink holder, aren't you?

Weld a pole on it and tell her she can go for a ride and dry blouses and shirts while mowing... you'll be the king of the heap... (maybe)

Oh yeah, that's a swell idea... do you have any close relatives or friends living nearby that have spare rooms?

Thanks for more good ideas..

yes the clothes hoist is a must.. self propelled for sure.. drink holder (in case I ever have to use it)...plus a tow bar so "Fido" gets some exercise as well.

This post of Gary's does open a few opportunities for other forum members I'm sure. How about that nice "Dynasonic" gift wrapped under the tree for Grandma.?

Cheers

Probably the best thing to do is try to have your wife take some drum lessons. For instance: I got my wife to sit behind my larger kit this summer so I could take a short video of her. She started to ham it up and really had some fun with it. She's not quite into the buying/collecting realm though...yet haha. One of my drummer freinds saw the video and said - she has some potential and that I should give her some lessons. Maybe.....we'll see. That would double the drum gift senerio though:Snow Flake:
