Odd Oyster Black pattern on this drum! Last viewed: 3 hours ago

This looks like one of the newer 'Abalone' wraps.

If this is a newer wrap, I've never seen it offered anywhere.

I'm agreeing with what everyone is currently saying, though. Haven't yet heard back from the seller... possibly because he knows it's not authentic?

Maybe it's just me, but when I sell something as important and expensive as this, I take good super-sized pictures, with plenty of light, and full explanations, so that any prospective buyer knows EXACTLY what they're looking at. But, maybe it's just me! (Then again, I do take good pictures of even the most trivial items!)

Amen! If you are selling what you hope is a $3,000 snare drum PLEASE take some time for decent photos.

I'm glad to know that we all seem to feel the same about this wrap. I just hope that any prospective buyer will be well-versed enough to know what this is and not bid.

I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt to the seller, who honestly may not be in tune with what this is. Then again, he may know what it is and is praying on the gullibility of the buyer!

Wow! 5K WITHOUT a lens! You must do some serious photography! I'm very happy with my two Canon cameras, both just under $200. I'm not a photographer by any means, but feel that good pictures still need to come from a dedicated camera, not a smart phone!

We were talking about this on drum forum. Seems like its really close to some of the reproduction wrap from the 90s. I just sold one from 1966 and its nothing like this. The badge looks weird too...wrap doesn't run into the bearing edge...a definite re-wrap.
