if we could all use the attachment photo process that tommy asked us to use, stuff like this wouldn't be an issue. if the pic was too big, it wouldn't load with the attachment process...mike
Right on the money Mike... THANKS!!!

Tommy,
Would it maybe help the membership in the future if you could make David`s thread about photo uploading/resizing a sticky in each forum? Currently, it is only available in the General Question section...

Just a thought...
Cheers

grantro!
It's a good thought!.. and .. David and I are already chatting about putting up a NEW tutorial which will be a STICKY, as we have to get a handle on this. So many NEW members now, and 90% of them are NOT using attachments. Not saying it's their fault either of course!, just that we have to redefine the procedure I guess, and make sure everyone knows that ATTACHMENTS are what we request on this particular forum. THANKS for your input!

Sounds good, Tommy!! In the meantime, we will try and direct the new members on how to properly post pics...I know that there are quite a few members who help with this...
Cheers
Tommy - with or without the graphics, there were already a bunch of responses posted. It seemed a shame to lose all the posts when the offending graphics can always be resized and added back later as an edit to the original post.At least we don't have to lose entire threads over bad/oversized pix! That's good news!John
John-can you repost that Krupa/Bellson paradiddle big band tune.I think you posted it on this thread and it got lost when i had Tommyp wipe them from the thread.I`d really like my students to see that one-great stuff!

For the students:
It's all based on 'Paradiddle Rounds' ie; single-paradiddle, double-paradiddle, triple-paradiddle. It's a fun tune to play along with and it has the added benefit of helping you to practice accents, stick control, good time keeping and dynamics. Great stuff for drummers of any proficiency level. Just pure drumming fun!
Enjoy,
John
PS - Wayne... I've been coaching a guy for about a year now and one of the first things I taught him was how to play Paradiddle Rounds. Great exercise and it really helps to develop stick control/handling quickly.

John,
I`ve only listened to this a couple of times. Are these paradiddle rounds(2)single paras,(2) double paras, and (2) triple paras? I couldn`t get it to work out in time just tapping on my chair arms.Almost seems like there is a paradiddle-diddle in there right after the first double paradiddle And maybe there is only one double para instead of two.So could it be(2)singles,(1) double,(1) paradiddle-diddle,and (2) triples? Your thoughts...
Wayne
On the tune it goes; 1 set - single, 1 set - double, followed by 1 set - single, then 1 set - triple. Part of the fun is figuring out the pattern!
Yes, paradiddle rounds 'usually' consist of; 2 sets single, 2 sets double, 2 sets triple and back around again. They mix it up on the record. I listened to it a couple of times, then started playing along. Once you get your head into the music, it's easy to follow the pattern. It all repeats itself. "Rounds!"

John-this is great! I tried it and it worked and thanks for breaking it down for me.A few more times thro` and i likely would have gotten it, but would have to try numerous configurations in the process. But as you said: 'part of the fun is figuring it out'.At least now i won`t have to look so bad in front of my students, lol. Thanks for getting back to me-you are sooo good to all the members on this forum and we are all lucky to have you in our midst. No matter how big or insignicant our questions are-you always respond immediately and with expert advice. Thanks again for being here for all of us in this big wonderful drum family we have.
Life`s Best,
Wayne
