Is that a six or eight lug snare drum?

Looks like 6 lugs.I'm guessing a Professional model,possiby a Student model radio king.They came in duco finish with single flange rim with clips,and it also looks to be 7x14.,early 40's..

I agree.I guess he thinks we have a lot of time on our hands.Maybe we should start charging for drum I.D.s and evaluations like other guys do....nah

It looks six lug to me too, but I don't think there are any six lug snares from that time period with beavers, not in catalogs anyway.... still all tube lugs on lower end six-lug snares.

Student Model Radio King is an eight-lugger, but was actually the Solid Wood Shell Professional at the time frame we're addressing.

That' why the six-lug with RK lugs config has me puzzled.....

Again, better pics and more details...dimensions, etc.

I'll happily help out any with questions posed here and post here what little help I can.

Hopefully, it's help for the next cat who comes along as well, and another reason why PICTURES SHOULD BE POSTED HERE ON THE WEBSITE SO THEY WILL BE HERE IN THE FUTURE FOR HISTORICAL REFERENCE FOR OTHERS.

seems to me we are the appraisers for vintage drums it will never change same ol song and dance
