Older Pearl Bass Pedal maybe tom holder??? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

Pearl guys/gals,

I have no idea of the vintage of this bass pedal or whether or not the tom hardware is truly Pearl.

Just thought I'd put it out there and see if it is what someone is looking for. Pedal works great and quietly, but the drum key bolt that clamps on to the beater post requires a lot of force to tighten.

Offers accepted.

Only trades would be for a Chicago Ludwig labeled (not WFL labeled) 70's SpeedKing.

Hey, the mount looks to be a Pearl, or Pearl-a-like.

Anyhow, I would be interested in buying it.

Can you sell and ship to SF, CA 94107 for $30?

Thanks.

Interested in the bass pedal. Let me know what your asking for it. My son's drummer has one like it in bad shape. And I'd like to give it to him as a Christmas present. x-mas3

Hi,

The mount for $30 shipped is fine. $25 shipped for the pedal?

Let me go through both again tonight to make sure I haven't missed anything condition-wise for both of you.

---

Frupy,

I will send you a PM after I make sure all the clamps work well enough, etc. I will post more pics here as well.

---

ffr428,

I want to pull that drum key bolt out all the way that holds the beater in place to make sure it isn't crap before I will sell it to you. I will take pics and post them here later.

---

If we go forward, will be time for a Speed-King. Great!

Hey guys,

Have to run some errands real quick, just wanted to update. Pics mid afternoon, sorry for the delays.

Pedal: The screw for the beater just needed wd-40, not the finest of cut threads, but it works fine. It has a general aluminum dirt / mild pitting. I would probably pull it apart and clean it, regrease etc. I haven't done anything to it since I found it with my DownBeat kit (no cleaning etc). Still has remnants of its plastic wrap it must have shipped in new stuck in various places. There is one other issue I want you to see in the pics, will show you later. I think a washer might be missing that makes the little swing arm where the spring attaches rub the leg of the pedal. Probably 6.5/10 cosmetically, higher functionally.

Tom Mount: Works very well. Tried all drum key screws, and they tighten nicely. Mild corrosion, but I haven't polished it at all etc. Worst corrosion is shown in pics. No markings anywhere.

I won't hold you to either of these prices or anything until you have evaluated the pics.

Sorry have to run!

Cool thanks. Take your time on the pics no hurry here. This kids cousin gave him his old set of Pearls a few years ago. Came with the same pedal so this is a perfect replacement. He really likes them. Me I like the Speed Kings. Simple function and design and last forever. :) You'll like those when you get one.

I am eager to try the legendary Squeak-King. hehe I will PM you one I am watching on Ebay right now, seems promising...

Let's communicate via PM if that's ok with both of you....

Here the pics, note the red text showing the spring arm thing's "issue". I think it is more mild neglect than a serious issue.
