While I would love to own these, I just cant bring myself to spend $600 on ANY luan set, as nice as they may look...they are still "Asian Firewood"!

if these were in the $300 range, I could be tempted.

Ahhhhh ... but you speak of absolutes. What if this kit was sitting on top of the vial that contained the serum that was needed to cure the out of control growths within your thyroid and the owner demanded 600 bucks to move it or else he would push down on it and crush the vial, thus killing you.

Not a whole lot of "Asian Firewood" shaped like vintage Trixon drums out there. I'm always very conscientious about how I price things out. My asking price for an unusual kit like this one is not 'high' at all.

Kit's gone... moot point.
