55 - a drum as rare and valuable as that one is to a Ludwig collector, it really belongs in an auction. You'll realize the best return that way. Let a couple of guys get into a bidding war over it.

Beautiful drum... way too rich for this poor-boy's blood. I can only 'lust in my heart' as Jimmy Carter used to say.

Very best of luck finding a good home for it, sorry you have to let it go. I know selling that one, hurts.

I am so very sorry to hear that.

I agree that a public auction is the way to go. My guess is that only very interested and suitable owner would invest the necessary dollars to own it. My best to you sir.

Glen - do you get to play at all? I've been through chemo, (10 months worth!) so I understand if you just don't have the stamina or motivation to wail on a set of drums. If you want to have a set around to play, I can hook you up with one of my vintage kits as a loaner, until you're back on your feet again. I'll pay all shipping. I'd be real happy to help keep you drumming. I think you continuing to play, would actually help lift your spirits and aid the healing process.

Let me know. This is something I would be happy to do for you. Yes Sir

Let me know what I can do as well. Not sure where you are in PA but if it's anywhere near the City of Champions I'm close by. We aren't the "keystone state" for nothin... as in Ludwig keystones :)

Don't sell it. What you will play when you will get well?
