Allright! Woo Hoo! I just got the multi sparkle Ludwig classic snare and boy is it sparkley! This drum is in real clean shape and sounds great. Here are the pics.

That is the Turbine snare drum. Joe Partridge and I birthed that. Here's the link to the Famous site where the effect of the blades is described (the site is in dire need of updating. That address and the emails are wrong, I thin )

That drum is Way-Too-Cool.

I would not sell that one if I owned it. Is that how it came from the factory??

If so........my guess is the sky's the limit for price. I would not let it go for under $10K and that's being conservative in my estimation. But what do I know. I'm not rich by any means and I don't consider myself a collector....not by collector's standards. But this drum is up there with the best of them as far as I can tell.

In the Rob Cook Ludwig Book,there is a picture of a Multi-Sparkle 9x13 WFL tom(in the wrap/colors section)...i met the owner of this tom(he has the Whole kit 22,13,16-I already asked him to sell...NO CHANCE!!!),in the pro drum shop and he says the same thing...promotional WFL Multi-sparkle kit for a new year(late 50's WFL Drums) and they sound SUPER GREAT!!! VERY VERY COOL SNARE MAN...Cheers!!!
