Opinions if I decide to sell this... Last viewed: 6 hours ago

OK, most of you know about my Sling kit, or have seen it. 85% of the drums I bought new at the Niles plant in 69. I may be considering selling part of it. as it is now its 2 24" bass drums concert toms 6/8/10/12

suspended toms 12/13/14/15 floor toms 16/18/ and rare 20. I have converted the 20 to a bass drum without doing any permanent modification to the drum at all. the stars would have to line up perfectly if I went through with this. I'd like feedback on thoughts of interested poeple if I sold off part of the kit, many different configurations. one would be

24" bass all the concert toms...12/15/18?

Drums have seldom left the house and are in mint condition, just as they did the day I bought em.

They look nice together...don't break them up!

Find a copy of Roots and watch the scene where they take Kizzy away from Kunta Kinte....that's how the snare drum will feel if you break the kit up.

Outstanding set...I dreamed of one like that all through high school.

I agree with keeping the set together...They have been siblings since birth, so it would be a shame to break them up now...

Although, they are YOUR drums and you can do as you please...Think long and hard about it because you don`t want to get seller`s remorse after the fact...

My 2 cents...

Cheers

I can't believe your even thinking of selling the love of your life.

Well I for one am hoping the stars never align Gary. There does come a time in one's life where we have to be practical. I think you should consider the variety of sets you could create with that kit. You should have just about anything you might need. My guess is that you will regret selling that kit.

I agree with everyone. That kit is my WMP dream come true!! I have DEEP regrets selling my old 70's Slingerland kit from way back. To me it was pretty special for a number of reasons. The money came and went but the desire to have them back never went away. Still kickin myself in the a$$ over that one.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.
