I'm very happy with Protection Racket. I have them for all of my kits and most of my snares.

Ahead Armor, very reasonable, great quality and construction, and you get a discount when you buy 4 or more at Sweetwater music, and they have huge inventory. Had my whole kit in stock and a snare bag for my 8 x 14 Gretsch!

Love them, check them out!

All of the above do a great job. I just happened to land on Protection Racket (work great for me). I do use SKB hard shell cases for my snares.

yes i have all skb roto x hard cases but was going to shop for a set of soft padded bags to use from time to time. looks like the BEATO padded bags from drumfactory has the best deal right now.

Here are the best ones, I own a few of them. http://shop.beatobags.com/product-p/bp1bass.htm

A few years ago I ordered a complete set (minus the snare case, I'd had that for a few years & was really impressed with it) of Beatos for my Big Beat & since I hadn't heard anything for a coupla weeks, decided to call them. Left a message, not expecting an answer for a day or so.

15-20 minutes later I get a call, from Fred Beato himself!

Great guy, we talked for a good 30-40 minutes, asked me about my drums, what kind of music I played, how the weather in NM was, etc...

He explained that they waited until they had enough orders for a big run so they could keep costs down, makes sense to me. He also told me that if there was any problem with my order to call him personally & he'd take care of it.

That my friends, is good customer service.

Great that your sorted Frantic Fred. Just to add to the thread Protection Racket cases are great for me. They are light and pack down to be stuffed anywhere in any corner of a small stage/venue. I love the carpets too because they meld perfectly with velcro which provides me with secure BD anchorage.

One feature I really like with the Beato snare bag is the outside zippered compartment. It's great for carrying some high-hats, tambourine, spare snare drum head-whatever.
