I have had this old parade drum for a while and finally got it out to take a look at it. Got it from an old dude 85 plus. It has what looks like an aluminium stick on badge-no grommet. It came in an olive drab canvas bag. It has the man's name and high school on it. I'm thinking it is from the 40's. Badge doesn't really match anything on the badge guide, some are close but not exact. Hoping the vast knowledge of the forum could help. I see them on ebay all the time, none seem to sell.

Something about that badge does not look right..Looks to be to big in size for a W.F.L. badge..The badge looks to have silver paint on it i think i see a grommet under the paint.Also the badge looks to be a brass badge..Your drum most likey is from the mid to late 50's...Mikey

That badge on the guide is exactly like mine except it doesn't have "Wm. F Ludwig, president" on it.
