I wonder if anyone has any info about the Pearl drums hieroglyphic wrap that I used to see (in Europe) in the mid 70s. It was a remarkable design and I haven't seen any since. I contacted Pearl drums but never heard anything! Grateful for info! Thanks

Sounds like you might be remembering the Slingerland Aztec wrap.

No, it was definitely Pearl. Slingerland were not a major presence in the Swedish market, but the Aztec pattern you mentioned sounds intriguing, would love to see that!

They had a set of these in my local music store when I was a kid. Ever since then I've wanted one. But I haven't come across any in 30+ years. I'd be a happy camper if I could find a set!!
