Pop out on local buy-sell web page

12-13-16-22 with older hexagonal tom holders

Here on forum, was discussion about this kind of Pearl set.And experts

explained that those are earlier, beguining of 70's sets with thicker shells

Also there is snare, I think from same set.Handle of snare strainer is broken and but side is messed also.

I read that you can't be 100% shure about type of shell according two or three stripes, is it steel or brass. So I will try to go and check it

Overal, I think very nice set of Pearl drums

Cool kit. I would buy in a heartbeat if it was less than $300. How much are they asking? I dig the gold.

The snare drum appears to chrome over brass and likely a B4514 model. I think those sell for $120-$200+. It's a great snare and those fiberglass pearls are very warm sounding. Nice kit.

I always liked the sound of those drums as well. The best sounding drum shells that aren't made of wood in my opinion. But I really like the finish. Sexy drums.

Cool. I'm lucky enough to have a set in blue and love it. That gold satin is such a cool color. Probably early to mid 70s like you said. If you buy it be careful with the screws since some might be the old Japanese Industrial Standard threads (pre ISO threads.) Only way to replace them is to find some off of vintage pieces. I don't think the shells are much thicker. They are heavier.

Snare looks like brass like Mo Tonkie said. Great snare... and Stewart Copeland thinks so too! Those throw handles are notorious for breaking. I don't think I've seen a butt plate like that on one of those snares. Not sure I've seen one of those on any Pearl. What is that guys?

Wanted: Pearl President floor tom in Golden Grain wrap and rack tom in Tiger Eye (root beer) wrap.

I think that but side should look like in following two pictures.Looks like missed plate and mixed with additional knob

Price for set and snare is around 265$

Very nice complete kit. Great price. Will look stunning cleaned up. Soft cloths only. The finish will scratch easily.

Good luck!!

Here is a link to my ongoing Pearl Wood Fiberglass shell project. Same kits just different shells. Only wood shell was steerage class, wood/fiberglass second class, all fiberglass was top of the line. Will update as it goes along. Anything not covered let me know and will try and help. Very cool these kits are coming out of storage/basements to see life again.

Some pics from my wood-shelled 1973ish kit, which I still have (the floor tom was a 1972 add-in by the music store, I think - it's a six-lug model, lugs are different and wood is the vertical-grain luan). But the 1973 wood shells are very well-made, good edges, finished interior - I don't think it was "steerage class," just another option.

I also have the same 10-lug snare.

Cool kit... Looks fun! You were a happy boy in that picture. Awesome.

Ah! There is the butt plate with an adjuster! I have a few COB snares in that era and have seen quite a few, but these are the first I've seen with the adjuster like that. Cool. Thanks for posting!
